Bursich Associates was engaged to assist Utility Line Services (ULS) to stake out approximately 17 miles of proposed pipeline right-of-way for the MARC 1 HUB project. Survey crews staked out the proposed pipeline alignment and the 200-foot-wide right-of-way, while working with other team members to locate both the environmental features and archeological sites within the proposed right-of-way. As various sections were established and critiqued by the pipeline representatives, Bursich’s survey crews were asked to make adjustments to the right-of-way based upon environmental issues and road and stream locations. The surveyors utilized state-of-the-art GIS grade GPS receivers along with traditional survey equipment. The project was completed ahead of schedule through a coordinated effort by all team members.
